We're looking for a Senior Consultant Cyber Strategy (m/f/d).
Job Requirements
Cyber Strategy at Envoy Security means more than advice — we help clients implement strategy and co-own both the problems and the outcomes. That requires combining economic thinking with a genuine understanding of security challenges, and the drive to see it through to execution.
We're primarily looking to hire in Germany but may be open to other EU countries for the perfect candidate.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Cybersecurity strategies for clients across regulated industries — from diagnosis to execution
Apply economic reasoning to security decisions — helping clients understand and communicate risk in business terms
Co-own project outcomes alongside clients — taking accountability for results, not just recommendations
Deliver high-quality client-facing outputs including strategies, roadmaps, board presentations, and workshops
Lead and manage individual workstreams independently within larger engagements
Build and extend client relationships through trusted, outcome-focused engagement
Experience and Skills
2–3 years of experience in a consulting environment; candidates with strong management consulting expertise are strongly encouraged to apply, even without deep cyber expertise (for example from boutique management consulting firms)
Ideal background combines consulting experience with an in-house security or technology role — we value the ability to bridge both worlds
Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and the ability to connect them to business risk, regulatory requirements (e.g. NIS2, DORA), and economic impact
Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or CRISC are preferred — if you don't have them yet, we'll support and fully fund your path to certification
Structured, analytical thinker who can translate complex security challenges into clear strategic recommendations
Strong ownership mindset and self-starter attitude — you don't wait to be told what to do next
You're not afraid to get more hands-on with technical solutions, working with AI and the expertise of the rest of the team

Salary
Your salary will be made up of a base component and an uncapped bonus (based on your engagement profitability, business development successes and project management responsibilities)
You get to decide how much of your salary you want to take as variable pay and how much as base pay (in a range of 10% to 30% variable) - the higher the variable component, the higher the profit share you can participate in

The job is remote first, which means we don't offer a fruit bowl in the office - sorry about that.
Travel to client locations will be required - depending on the specific client and project this can be only twice throughout the entire engagement or several times a week - that is the unpredictable nature of the consulting job.
